It’s definitely been a minute since I’ve last updated my blog – and this is definitely something that’s been on my mind to do as an additional way to tell my story and talk to incredible humans like you.
A couple of life updates since we haven’t chatted in a while…
1) My husband and I got to travel to New York and Chicago which was so nice, especially since we did it in different seasons.
2) I went to my first ever business retreat in Palm Springs which helped me build relationships I wouldn’t otherwise had and it helped me get a fresh perspective on my business and my long term growth. The biggest takeaway was that my coaching business, the way it’s been operating so far, is not sellable – which is something I really want to do in the future.
3) We moved into a bigger apartment not too far from our previous place and now my office views are gorgeous mountains from the 56th floor. YES that’s very high.
4) and ofc, I launched my new marketing agency The Sell Well
Many people don’t know this but I already had a marketing agency in the past which was specialized in influencer marketing and talent management (meaning we managed paid ads and brand relationships for influencers). However, I mismanaged the company and I had no new clients coming to me in a while and my operational costs were eating up the whole profit – so I had to close it down in winter 2024.
I did swear off running an agency again for the whole year only to find out that it is truly the only path I see for myself to scale to the level that I’d want.
Now, The Sell Well is 4-ish months old (the baby is not even crawling yet!) and has already served 10 clients in Canada and US (we are global, baby!) to help them with their content and lead generation funnels. And I am officially responsible for rent of 3 people which is CRAZY.
Reflecting on the journey that I’ve went through so far I wanted to reflect on the 3 things I wish I could tell myself before I launched The Sell into the wild.
1) You don’t need everything perfectly built
I landed my first 3 clients without the website or the agency’s instagram. In fact, this is only something that I launched a month after because we were already busy delivering the client work.
My clients were coming from other channels (such is Instagram and referrals) and not having a perfect website or a full service menu didn’t make a difference.
I shared in my video HERE about how I made my first $1,000 with the new agency and what worked for my business so far.
Pro tip: make sure your Instagram is optimized and you are CONSTANTLY talking about your services and what problems you are solving for your clients.

2) Your first clients will refine your services
The content creation service that I originally had in mind for my clients is very different to what we offer right now
Because my clients helped me make it in a way that makes sense for them and not to me.
So do not be afraid to offer a service to your clients and then refine them along the way!
3) You are never *really* ready
Listen, for the whole year I was telling everyone and their moms that I would never run an agency again because my last one didn’t work out
And here we are 🙂
I did that because my ego was so hurt I didn’t want to jump on this thing again
But after having multiple conversations, especially during the business retreat, I realized that I just need to suck it up and start. And starting was the hardset part!
I was so scared and so worried about hitting post on my own social media and talk about the fact that I am launching an agency and sharing the work that we do.
But I know that it was the right journey for me and I am so grateful that I recorgnized that it was my own ego holding me back.
